Shot Notes
After the fires swept through San Diego in 2007, I took a drive down into the Del Dios community, near Lake Hodges. The fires swept over the hills surrounding the lake, and ripped into the homes there. The entrance to the remains of one home are shown here, and in the background you can see some of the scorched hills.
This photo was seen by the creators of Schmap digital travel guides on my Flickr account, and I allowed them to use it to show Lake Hodges. Personally, I find it odd that they wanted to showcase a photo of the burned remains of a home for a lake and recreational area, but whatever.
