The California Tower, part of the Museum of Man in San Diego’s Balboa Park. The 200-foot tower was originally constructed with the rest of Balboa Park for the 1915-16 Panama-California Exposition, inaugurating the opening of the Panama Canal.

The Museum of Man isĀ  a museum of anthropology, focusing on the pre-Columbian history of the western Americas, with materials drawn from Native American cultures of the Southern California region, Mesoamerican and Andean civilizations. It also houses a collection of Ancient Egyptian antiquities and other collections from around the world.
